Brake Service in Concord: What It Costs

That Squeal or Grind Means It's Time

If your brakes are squealing, grinding, or the pedal feels softer than usual, your pads are trying to tell you something. Ignoring it doesn't make the problem go away — it usually makes it more expensive.

Pads vs. Rotors: What's the Difference?

Brake pads are the friction material that clamps against the rotor to stop your car. They wear down over time and are considered a normal maintenance item. Rotors are the metal discs the pads clamp onto. They last longer, but they don't last forever.

When pads wear too thin, metal starts scraping metal. That damages the rotor surface, and what would have been a straightforward pad swap turns into a pad-and-rotor job. Catching it early saves money.

Signs Your Brakes Need Attention

What Does Brake Service Cost?

We keep our pricing straightforward. Brake pad replacement runs $175 and up per axle. If the rotors are worn, scored, or warped, a pad-and-rotor replacement starts at $349 per axle. We'll inspect your brakes and tell you exactly what's needed before any work starts — no surprises.

Q: Do I need to replace brakes on both axles at once?

Not always. Front and rear brakes wear at different rates — fronts typically wear faster because they handle more of the stopping force. We'll check both and only recommend what actually needs replacing.
